One can extend his/her eligibility period via ECFMG online services.

Step 1 and 2 tests can be taken at Prometric enters. A list of Prometric enters available on the ECFMG website. To obtain present information on Prometric test centers, please visit the website.

It is based on exam, testing region and date of cancellation: $0 to $604.

A request must be submitted to ECFMG. ECFMG should receive your request no later than 90 days after your result was released to a candidate.

What are the passing scores for USMLE Steps?

USMLE results are reported in a three-digit scale.
The current minimum passing scores are as follows-
Step 1- 194
Step 2 - 209
Step 3- 198
The scores are subject to change.

Can one retake the same test after passing to increase the score?
